What happens to a CS2 bet when the match changes?
A postponement, substitute roster or switch from best-of-five to best-of-three can change how a bet is settled. Here is what Rainbet and Stake say in their published esports rules.

Example: a CS2 best-of-five becomes best-of-three
Match-winner ticket
Rainbet's published rule says match-level bets void after an official format change. Stake says it may void all bets. “May” is a discretion, so its rule does not promise a particular outcome in advance.
Map-one winner ticket
Rainbet says map-level markets remain valid when the match format changes. Stake reserves the right to void all bets. A map already completed is still subject to the exact market and applicable rules.
Why the distinction matters: “Match winner” and “map winner” are separate markets. Check the name on the accepted ticket before using a general rule to predict settlement.
How this comparison was made
We read each operator's public English sportsbook rules on 20 October 2026 and compared the esports general provisions for the same four scenarios. We did not create accounts, place bets, test deposits or measure payouts. We did not compare live odds because they change by event and time.
